Critical History
The sculpture of St Nicholas in the Regional Museum Maribor was attributed to Joseph Straub by Sergej Vrišer.1 The original location of the sculpture is unknown.
Construction / Execution
The sculpture is made of wood. It has naturalistic painting with gilded drapery, shoes and hat. The inner side of its drapery is coloured red and the coat is silvered.
