Presenting the project in Kutina
The Croatian Conservation Institute and the Kutina Tourist Board organised the presentation of the project Tracing the Art of the Straub Family in the Museum of Moslavina Gallery.
The event, held on 14 November 2019, was part of the Kutina Day programme, which enriched the life of the town from 4 to 20 November 2019. Kutina Mayor Zlatko Babić and the head of the Tourist Board Ivana Grdić addressed those present. The head of the project Dr Ksenija Škarić presented the results of the project, especially the heritage preserved in Kutina.
Three preserved pulpits are among the most beautiful works by Franz Anton Straub – in Kutina, Marija Gorica and Brezovica. The pulpit in the Parish Church of Our Lady of Snow in Kutina is thought to be one of the loveliest eighteenth-century woodcarvings in north-west Croatia.
The presentation in Kutina is part of the educational and promotional cycle European Baroque in my Homeland: Socializing with the Straub Family Heritage. An information tag was placed in the parish church, as well as in other buildings that preserve Straub family artworks, with information about the project and a QR code leading to the catalogue unit about the Kutina pulpit on this website.
