TrArS in Kloštar Ivanić

The project Tracing the Art of the Straub Family, and the freshly printed monograph and leaflet about the church inventory, were presented in the crowded Parish Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kloštar Ivanić.

The presentation was part of the cycle of educational and promotional activities European Baroque in my Homeland: Socializing with the Straub Family Heritage, organized by the Croatian Conservation Institute and the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Kloštar Ivanić. It was held after Sunday mass, on 27 October 2019 at 9.30 a.m.

The Parish Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kloštar Ivanić is proud to hold most artworks created by members of that family in Croatia. With the impressive high altar, side altars of St George and St Joseph, and the baptistery with a miniature, but very finely carved sculptural group of the Baptism of Jesus, it is important in the national, but also in the European context. Recent, expert restoration has given additional value to the inventory.
