Critical History

Two miniature sculptures of two lying saints, namely St Rosalia and St John of Nepomuk were not mentioned in the literature so far. We can attribute both statues to Joseph Straub, since they are of great quality and have several similarities with his other works. Those can be observed in the shape and characteristics of their faces, curly hair and rich drapery with typical creases.

Construction / Execution

Two miniature sculptures are made of wood. They are naturalistically painted with gilded drapery.
