Exhibition at the National Gallery of Slovenia

The National Gallery of Slovenia is exhibiting two newly restored statues by Joseph Straub from the high altar of the parish church in Štanjel. In November 2017, during field research carried out under the TrArS project, both statues were urgently transported to the Restoration Centre ZVKDS due to their poor condition.

The exhibition, together with the introductory lecture, was prepared by the participants of the TrArS project, Katra Meke, a curator of the National Gallery of Slovenia and Saša Dolinšek from the Restoration Centre ZVKDS, the author of the conservation-restoration interventions.

Straub's statues will be on exhibition until October 2, 2019.
