At the 19th Conservator-Restorers’ Professional Meeting at the National Gallery in Ljubljana the project was presented with a poster, and the project manager gave a short report on its results to date.

A newly-discovered work in the œuvre of Franz Anton Straub

The œuvre of Franz Anton, the youngest member of the Straub family, recently grew to include another work. Apart from the high altar in the Franciscan church in Kostajnica and the pulpit in the then Franciscan church in Marija Gorica, Straub's name has so far not been associated with other monastic orders.

The report on the "Tracing the Art of the Straub Family" project for Croatian Radiotelevision was made in the pilgrimage church of St Mary of Jerusalem, the Mother of God, on Trški Vrh above Krapina. Participants from Croatia, Germany and Austria speak about the project.

An unexpected discovery – a sculpture by Joseph Straub in Gorizia

The members of the Slovenian team of the TrArS project informally came across the information that a sculpture attributed to Joseph Straub is kept in the storage of the Musei Provinciali di Gorizia. We contacted the curator of the museum Alessandro Quinzi, who had attributed the sculpture to Joseph Straub just recently (the sculpture has not yet been published).

Tracing the Straub family in Wiesensteig – new discoveries in the archives

The research in the Parish St Cyriacus and in the City Archives of the Straub Family’s hometown Wiesensteig and the following analysis of the collected data brought some interesting and new discoveries, which could be added to the family tree recently. The Austrian art historian Julia Strobl travelled to Baden-Württemberg in October 2018. Unlimited access to the archives was generously provided by the parish priest Ralf Baumgartner as well as by the Mayor Gebhard Tritschler, a special thanks also to the historian Helmut Poloczek, who supported the research on site.
